Tangerang, indonews.id – An equestrian sports center named Adria Pratama Mulya (APM) in the Tigaraksa area, Tangerang was established in 2007. A number of equestrian events are often held in APM Equestrian Center, one of the biggest being the Cinta Indonesia Open (CIO).
Furthermore APM does not only have a well-established horse riding club but also a Boarding High School. When we enter the school grounds, in general we would usually see a futsal field or basketball court, but not with APM High School.
Different from a lot of other high schools, In APM School what we see is a room much bigger that a basketball court and futsal field that is being utilized for horse riding. This High School that had been established since 2012 have top-quality facilities, which had been proven by being the venue/location of the sports branch Modern Pentathlon or Pancalomba for the Asian Games 2018.
APM High School is a private high school with the 2013 (K13) curriculum that is widely used. In the educational process, APM is different due to non-class exclusive teaching environment based on teacher and student consensus. In 2020 APM High School is planning to adopt the Cambridge curriculum. Said curriculum would be an alternative option, therefore students would be able to freely choose which curriculum and exams that they would need. The head of the foundation, Nadia Marciano explained the APM High School concept and its combination with horse riding. Some local subjects that are usually taught to students are changed with an equestrian curriculum. APM have around 50 horses that may be ridden by students.
APM students are not only thought only to be a horse rider, but also on how to take care, shower, and make a name for themselves in the equestrian sports industry. One unique aspect of the equestrian curriculum is that when they are High School students they will be able to participate in the industry by being able to establish an equestrian event themselves.
APM High School Students often hold equestrian events such as the “APM Equestrian Competition 2019”, on the 7th – 8th September 2019. The event was not only attended by APM students but also student’s from a number of schools that are also a member of the APM Equestrian Center. With that being said graduated of the APM High School will have the knowledge, skills, and confident to establish their own events.
